Smaller than I thought it was, which was a nice surprise. Nice toggle switches with good feel. Well made for what it is. I used the L switch for the headlight, Middle for the driving lights, and the R switch for the speedo light (don't need speedo light during the day). Highly recommend. (5 stars) reviewed on 06/30/05 byJohn (tabsboy) from Tulsa, OK, United States, for a 1998 1100 Shadow Aero wrote: This is nice and very neat appearence. Only one complaint, I lost low for my heated handgrips. The other switch goes to my lightbar and I still have an open switch. Worth it. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
(5 stars) reviewed on 03/27/04 byJerry (AeroBird) from NORTH BEND, WA, United States, for a 1999 1100 Shadow Aero wrote: This is a great item especially if you have a lightbar or other accessories that you want to have on/off control of. This sits on top of your master cylinder and is held in place by (2) supplied longer screws. It doesn't come with a chrome master cylinder cap. You need to use your own or buy a chrome one. Believe me you want a chrome cap. The unit use to be much larger than they are now. The new ones have a lower profile and look great! I used one switch for my Cobra Lightbar (connected to a relay & fuse), one for my CB Radio & one for my GPS. I covered the wires with shrink tubeing and tied it to the existing handlebar wires using a small zip tie. I ran all wires inside the headlight housing where I made my connections. Seems like good quality, easy to install and convienent to operate. Get one! Cheers!!! Jerry Review Details 1 out of 1 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Finally got around to properly wiring my National Cycle light bar to avoid burning out a switch. Ran a fused wire from the battery, under the seat & tank, to terminal 30 on a Radio Shack relay tucked into the headlight housing. Grounded relay terminal 85. Connected light bar spots (2 blue wires) to relay terminal 87. Ran the yellow switch wire for toggle #1 to relay terminal 86, and tapped switch main power red wire to dark blue w/white stripe wire (before split to high/low beams) under the tank. Now I can turn spots on & off at will with either high or low beams, and spots go off when I press the starter button for full power to start the engine. Also, spots go off when I turn off the key. Lastly, I have two more toggle switches available should I ever need them. Heat shrink covers all wires, and cables are neatly tied. Review Details 6 out of 6 members found this review helpful.
