This pole light is awesome. It reminds me of the cruisers of the late '50's early '60's; so retro, so cool. The light is not as bright as I would like it to be so I replaced the lamps with a 1 watt LED flashlight bulb from Superbrightleds.com, part number E10-WHP. This LED is rated up to 9 volts because they are talking about flashlight applications, it will operate on 12 volts just fine and the light output is much stronger than the bulbs that come with the poles and they will use less power.
