I had my first accident on my bike just a couple of weeks after getting it from the dealer. When the dealer delivered my bike, they did not correctly set the tire pressures, and I violated one of the basic rules of riding by not checking the pressures before riding. As a result, I got the frame of the bike caught on a speed bump and went over on the bike. The bike sustained a couple of paint chips, but I had the weight of the bike come down on and pin my left leg. Needless to say, I check the pressures now before riding and this helps me to do that in a convenient way.
