Purchase this item and had it replaced 3 times for the same reason. Tire pressure are 2-4 lbs psi off. At this price +- 1 psi should be the norm. Also have to unscrew and rescrew to have reading change. Not a happy camper with this project.

Overall it works very well. I had trouble with the rear sensor (most of the device could not get a reading from the rear) until I removed the 'locking lug'. I believe it was not allowing the sensor to seat properly. After that, no problems.

I bought the TireGard and installed it last weekend. I have a '97 Road King with stock aluminum rims where the tire stem is on the right side of the rim. I jacked the bike up, installed the caps, and thought I had enough clearance. Riding around at a slow pace didn't cause any problems. This morning I pulled out onto the highway and ran it up to 70 mph. In about a mile the front cap must have hit the caliper housing and sheared the battery cover cap, battery, and holder off. The centrifugal force must have bent the stem out just enough to make contact. I didn't loose any air, just the cap and battery. I still think the system is great because it allows me to keep an eye on the back tire pressure which is a pain to check under the bags. Now I get to see what it takes to get a replacement sensor.

Convenient yet I find that it off by 2 to 3 lbs. Comparing it to my $50.00 tire gage.

At first look, these won't clear the brake calipers. I will have to have a closer look later. Better update this ha ha. Had to twist the stem a little so it clears the calipers on the front. I continuously have problems with the unit not detecting the sensors. I have to climb under the bike and tap the sensor with the device to get it to work sometimes. Defeats the purpose a bit. Would be fantastic if they worked like most people on here say they do. FINAL UPDATE. A huge thank you to Mike Moreland (moreland4) from Danville, OH who wrote, "No more hassle checking tire pressure. This unit is very accurate. The tire sensors "go to sleep" after 20 minutes of non movement. After 20 minutes, you will need to move the bike to "wake up" the sensors if you want to recheck your PSI." The manual does NOT mention that they go to sleep after 20 minutes. It says the main unit does. Now I know I have to move the bike to get them working.

It took a little playing with to get one sensor to transmit to the remote, but it's working great. No more removing a saddleback and rolling the bike around to find out that the air pressure is fine!

Bought two of these, one for my bike and one for my wife's Harley. My wife's is still working fine but mine only lasted for one ride and then the numbers on the remote display didn't work. Show Chrome told me to send it back, which I did, but it was upsetting to have to pay almost $10 to ship it back to them when it was faulty merchandise. This is the one reason I hate buying items over the internet, no store to take it back to and get a new one. They shipped me a new one within a week but haven't installed it yet.

Easy to install but it only worked for one ride and then the numbers on the remotes display went out. Had to pay to ship the unit back to Big Bike Parts. My question is why should I have to pay to ship back a malfunctioning item that is under warranty? Very disappointed

Great peace of mind being able to see the tire PSI's. After one tire ruined on a long trip because of low preasure and a slow leak in another. It is worth every penny . Money well spent. Even the wife did not complain when I opened it up.

This unit was really easy to install and works well. A couple of things the instruction sheet doesn't tell you: You have to hold the power button down for several seconds to turn the unit off manually, and you have to hold the mute button down several seconds to turn the sound off. Once I figured that out, everything was great.

So far so good. A bit of confusion on the install. When I turned the monitor off and turned it on again it would not synch with the sending units. However, when I let it set or a while as I got my stuff together or a test ride, the monitor synched without problem. The next morning it worked without problem.
