Once I figured out the wiring it wasn't too bad. Owner's manual is no help. Friends with experience are the best! Looks good and adds more visibility.

LED ae very bright only if view directly at 90 degree,has to make a notch on the license plate for the harness.

Adds conspicuity at night. Not as bright as I had hoped during daylight, however. Extremely easy to install on the V-Star: all the wires you need are right there. It's almost as if Yamaha EXPECTS you to install something like this!

Really Dresses up the back of the bike. Gets a running and brake light up higher - more in a car's field of view. I have a Back-off module wired in my brake system to add to the attention-getting ability. The LED's are really bright when in running mode, but super bright when the brake is applied. Great product, but a little pricey.

High visability at night. Makes the tail light seem dim. A must for maximum visability. Couldn't get it to work as both running light and brake light. Opted just for running light. Worth it!

Looks good, a solid product and augments rear running/brake lights. Did not want an led bar (sticks out) on bottom of frame that would hinder illuminating the highly visable license plate at night. Had to drill 2 new holes in mounting bracket to install. Covered a small run of exposed wiring w/ black heat shrink tubing. This product should have had a finished back-plate.
