A 4-inch diameter, elliptically machined, chromed billet tip caps off this four-inch round muffler body.

Cobra's slip-on for the Star V-Star 950 is already a hit with real-world riders. That's because this Cobra Slip-on provides increased horsepower and torque with a deeper, more aggressive exhaust note. The 4-inch muffler body has proprietary technology to prevent bluing making this slip-on virtually blue proof. The billet tip is unlike any other available in the motorcycle exhaust market with its unique shape and cut.

Great Buy!

I bought this for my 2014 v star 950 and wasn't disappointed! I rode with my buddy who had a Harley wide glide and when we got on the road he said my bike was louder than his. The harley was louder at idle. It was very easy to install.Only issue I have is that after a few rides my bike is starting to back fire. I am going to have to remap the fuel system.

Nice but...

This was easy to install, and sounds great; however the back fireing is real bad.
I think that more money will have to be spent to fix that issue, during the video for this produce, nothing is said about this problem...

a new riding experience

The first thing I did when I received this slip-on was to check its looks. OK, it has a tiny scratch at the end, but it's on the inside so it's irrelevant. Very good finish, spotless chrome, well built. A solid 9 out of 10 for the first impression. Then I dismantled it and checked the way it is built: skweaky-clean, very well adjusted, top quality metal. 9 out of 10 for the technical part. Fitting is 10 out of 10: it took me 5 minutes to uninstall the stock exhaust and replace it with this new one. Dead easy. And now, the test ride: much louder than the stock exhaust, improved maximum speed, no noticeable impact on fuel efficiency. And it really sounds great... my wife loves it, my neighbours tolerate it, but most importantly it puts that smile on my face each time I start the engine. Frankly, stop hesitating and get yourself one. It's worth it!

I bought these for my wife's 950 Tourer. Fantastic sound. 10 minutes to install. I spent more time finding my tools than putting on the exhaust. My bike (Vulcan 800) is a bit on the too loud side for my taste (I wear earplugs when I ride because I already have tinnitus), but her bike is just perfect (no earplugs). The slip-on growls when you twist the throttle but softens when you let off. At highway speeds you can't even hear it (very nice if you plan on spending 2+ hours on a ride). If you're looking for neighborhood-destroying loudness, then this slip-on is not for you. If you want your Yam to sound more like a "real bike" and have a deep bit of growl, then this is perfect. Wife is very happy!

I put this on my 2011 Yamaha V-Star 950 Cruiser and it sounds great. But when I let off of the throttle it back fires at times and sounds like a bike breaking down.  Any Ideas

Sounds like you need a fuel controller eg Cobra, Dynojet, etc

Oh ,and if you want to tone down the rasp of that slip-on and make it sound a touch deeper, wrap the removeable baffle with some muffler wrap and secure it with some steel wire.

    Cheers, Steve
