Unfortunatly I crash tested these bars and they passed with flying colors. They diddn't bend or disform in any way. From my friends point of view my bike slid about twenty feet or more and any other bar would've folded under the strain

What can I say? They're from Yamaha, they fit perfectly, they look good, and the chrome is flawless. They experienced no damage when I had a tipover in a parking lot and they're competitively priced. Also, they don't interfere with cornering clearance which the Strat has plenty of (for a cruiser). However, since my Stratoline is the Midnight (all-black) model, next time I would probably opt for the Lindby Linbar powder-coated all black: they have "built-in" highway pegs in their design, which is another advantage. But I don't know about cornering clearance: you can't tell how that would compare to the Yamaha guards without fitting them.
