(1 stars) reviewed on 05/02/03 byJim Patterson (MidnightSoul) from Louisville, KY, United States, for a 1600/1700 Road Star wrote: I'm perplexed. Part packet only comes with three replacement pads - pedal has six - so you need to buy two packs to replace all rubber strips (if needed, or just simply desired). Secondly, like another reviewer stated, the damn things are longer than the space on the pedal for them to fit. How hard is it to die-cut this thing right? This is a bit of a surprise AFTER you apply the super-glue and stick it to the pedal (OOPS!! - It doesn't fit - quick, pull it off and wipe away the glue!!!!). The space on the pedal will accept a 1" long pad. The replacements are right at 1.25". Make sure you trim them with an exacto knife and test fit them BEFORE applying the glue!! I will buy them again only because I HAVE to! Review Details 1 out of 1 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
(1 stars) reviewed on 02/22/03 bynick (njs24) from kings park, NY, United States, for a 2001 1600/1700 Road Star wrote: THESE SHOULD BE FREE! YAMAHA SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED TO ASK FOR MONEY FOR THESE. THEY DON'T EVEN FIT THE ORIGINAL SPOTS ON THE PEDAL. THIS PART WOULD'NT EVEN EXIST IF THEY MADE THE PEDAL RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. IT'S LIKE SELLING SOMEONE BAD BURRITOS AND THEN AN HOUR LATER CHARGING THEM FOR TOILET PAPER! THIS $8.00 PART REALLY PISSES ME OFF. Review Details 3 out of 3 members found this review helpful.
