I've had these a few months now and they really help put the handle bars in a more comfortable position for riding. My shoulders don't hurt anymore and I can put my arms in a more flexed position. I did have all the cables replaced (except the choke cable) just to make sure that there wasn't any binding. I didn't even try to use the stock cables. The cables were fairly expensive, however it was worth it for the added comfort. These risers are very heavy duty and look really good on the bike. With a little jockying of cables and removal from a guide or two, I was able to make all existing cables work. These reuse your the top 4 hold-down hex head bolts from your stock risers, as well as the little chrome caps. Handle positions are now very comfortable (I'm 6' even, but a friend of mine who's about 5'8" likes his also.) They look good too, with very nice chrome finish and the decorative holes that keep it from looking too plain.
