Firm but far better contours than original

Replaced stock seat on 2005 V-star 1100 custom with The Boulevard solo seat.  I'm 6'3" 200 lbs and the stock seat, while more padded, slid me forward and I was constantly getting a "wedgie" and adjusting the equipment at stop lights, and then it gave me back and leg pain on longer rides (like, longer than 45 minutes).  The Boulevard is not nearly as padded, it is more like a bike seat or a horse saddle.  Some have mentioned that the seat seems to adjust to you after a few rides, but I suspect you get used to it like you would a bike seat or saddle.  However, at least for my purposes, it is far better contoured.  The seat does not slide you forward and you sit back more comfortably, and the lip in the back adds more support for your lower back.  I agree with others that it moves you back and down about 1" or so.  As a result, once either you or it have broken in, it is much more comfortable and I can spend a lot more time in the saddle, even with the minimal padding.  I does seem to ...

Nice seat for the price. Looks great on the bike, it makes the tank and bars feel a little higher. It's vary firm and really does support the lower back better than stock. All in All I don't think you will find a better seat for the price as long as you like firm seats. Update, I road for a little over 250 miles recently and I have to say this seat was very comfortable the whole time. I am very happy with this seat.

This seat is a must if you have short legs: and if even you don't it's a must because it sits great...even without being broke in! Unlike the factory 'tractor' seat, the seat keeps you from riding up on the tank and feels great on those long trips. Besides...it looks awesome!

Hi Folks,I'm very happy with the seat in general. It's far more comfortable than the stock item but still a bit hard (especially on Irish "B" roads) even after a couple of months riding. Playing around with the back shock may sort that out though. It definitely offers way more lower back support, something that is seriously lacking with the original. One of lads also bought one and is well happy too. One reviewer on this site claimed that it improved handling! I was a bit skeptical at first but they are spot on. Because you sit lower (so lowering the center of gravity), the bike "drops" into corners and bends easier and I do like pushing her on through the "twisties" . Just a pity the tires aren't a bit stickier. Over all I'd recommend it,especially if you find the stock seat a bit of a "pain" in the lower back.

Much nicer than stock seat - you sit about an inch down and an inch back from stock. Great for a guy like me who needs as much leg room as possible.

Sits me lower and further back. Very comfortable after a few rides. Makes the bike look low profile along with the starbar.

A little bit stiff to set it, but the longer you ride the more it conforms to you. Helps keep you long slung in the seat.

Not only is this seat a vast improvement over the stock seat in comfortability, it also looks a thousand times better. I don't have any more numbness issues going on long rides like I did with the stock seat. The seat did seem a little stif at first but it broke in after a few rides. The styling of the seat does a much better job of complimenting the lines of the bike over the stock. Well worth the money and highly reccommended.

I've only had this seat on a few days. A lot firmer than stock but I like it. It drops you 1" and back 1" over the stock seat. The stock seat was giving me sores on the back of my leg. I think it was due to the incline of the seat. The stock seat seemed to always slide me forward toward the gas tank. The Corbin/Yamaha seat is scooped out so it holds you in. I know ride in the bike instead of riding on top of the bike! That's an improvement! Because of this I noticed improved handling when turning. An investment that will soon pay for it self and worth the money spent.
