Made a big difference in the wind buffeting that I was experiencing. It does however bug the sh!t out of me that I pay 100 bucks for less chrome than you would find in a BBQ set.

Adds a little more shine and truly knocks some of the wind off coming below the windsheild (UPDATE) had to remove these when I installed the Linbar engine guard.

Before I had these my helmet was buffeted so bad I hated having my windshield on. Now with the lowers installed, no more buffeting and I love my windshield.

Just added the lowers from Yamaha. Not only work but, more important, "safety chrome"!!

There is a size difference between the lowers for a 1100 Custom and a Classic. The ones I got for the Custom are a little bit smaller. They work well and I don't have helmet buffeting anymore. Yamaha did not do as good a job at chroming the undersides as they did on the topsides.

Just like with the windshield, I am very happy. I got this stuff from Yamaha Sports Center via UPS on a Thursday night after school thinking I'd install it over the weekend. After 10 minutes of looking at it I knew I'd be out there installing that night. Less than an hour later I was out testing it for effectiveness. As I said....very happy!

I have the smaller ones which are for the 1100 Custom. Makes a huge difference in reducing the air turbulence around my head.

Help a lot with the wind. One mishap: if you have hiway bars, they touch at full turn, so you'll have to bend them a bit, no big deal.
