The standard switches and wiring seem capable for the extra load but these passing lamps would benefit from being wired on a relay switch. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
(5 stars) reviewed on 10/12/07 byWilliam Soby (artyking) from Albemarle, NC, United States, for a 2004 Ice/Galaxy blue 650 V-Star Classic wrote: These things really light up the road!!! It's a great product once installed, which brings me to the fact that there is probably a Japanese engineer somewhere laughing his butt off at us trying to install these! The instructions are close to useless. All in all, not terribly difficult though. I had an issue with fitment of the turn signals. They went on okay once I sprung the clamp a bit, but the stock bolts that held them on in the past wouldn't fit. Had to get a smaller diameter bolt to go in the clamp holes and get around the signal light adapter mount. I also had an issue with the switch, it's cheap and mine was already non-functional due to cheap materials when I got it. It wouldn't stay in its clips and even when I had it in place it wouldn't toggle through on/off positions. My solution to that was cut the switch out and just twist the two wires together which is okay if you want them to burn ALWAYS. I can see where aiming could be a pain, I took my time and lined it up... Review Details 5 out of 5 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
