(4 stars) reviewed on 10/15/07 byMark Dyck (markdyck) from Chilliwack, BC, Canada, for a 2003 1600/1700 Road Star Silverado wrote: I originally didn't realize that there were sealed beam & halogen lights as options for these lamps. Had I checked more, I would have gone with the Halogen. Nonetheless, I still am happy with these. The lights feel a little sloppy as you install them. The positioning ring which keeps everything lined up right feels as if it should lock into place more than it does. Still, once it's all in place they look great! (4 stars) reviewed on 09/23/05 byDr X (DoctorX) from Oakville, ON, Canada, for a 2004 1600/1700 Road Star Silverado wrote: Love the look. Have popped a halogen bulb already. Make sure you keep with the 35 watt bulbs. Local shop told me that if i keep popping them, they have old-school bulbs that you can put in. They aren't as bright, but you still get the look. Have kept the halogens so far. Review Details 1 out of 1 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

(5 stars) reviewed on 06/02/05 byMatt Ropchak (Ropster2) from Columbus, OH, United States, for a 2004 Midnight 1600/1700 Road Star Silverado wrote: These add a fair amount of chrome to front end and give it a big bike look. Must buy mounts w/ directions for install separately. Easy to install, but time consuming to run wires, assemble light housings, etc. Also kind of a pain to get them aligned evenly. The give you bezelled washers to put under mounting bolts which give too much freedom of movement. Might just want to use chromed flat washers to guarantee they are straight up and down and even. (5 stars) reviewed on 04/11/05 byJimspac (Jimspac) from Somers, CT, United States, for a 2004 1600/1700 Road Star Silverado wrote: A high quality product, somewhat involved installation. I find Star products to be somewhat higher price than others, but worth it for quality and fit. I noticed that a tap splice was mentioned in the installation process as being included, but was not in the list of packaged items. Required a special trip to pick one up, minor nuisance. On first ride, the right unit loosened up, so Loctite might be needed here. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
