Made looking through the windshield when the sun hit it (sun rise or sun set) almost impossible to see through. Important Fitment Details:
All windshield assemblies will bolt directly onto the Silverado model or, with Windshield Mounts, onto the standard Road Star.

Fits all Road Star Standard, '99-'04 Road Star Silverado, '96-'01 Royal Star Standard, '96-'00 Tour Classic and '97-'01 Tour Deluxe.

All of National Cycle's windshields are polycarbonate, so any Yamaha brand shield will be the same. If you wanted to confirm that I would recommend just contacting Yamaha and they should be able to tell you what the shield is made out of. I'm pretty positive they are polycarbonate though.
