I got these because me and my brother are planning a 5 day trip up Californias back roads. I dont like saddle bags, but realized it was neccesary for the trip. these are a good option for those that dont want leather or to spend a lot of money. First I have to say is that thet are not as shiny as the picture reflects. There more of a flat finish. They feel sturdy and seem well built. They install quickly and the bags come off easy. I also like the neoprene lining to keep it from scratching the paint. The things i would change the lack of expansion. Also I wish they had a better way to secure the bags aside from the straps they give you. I havent been able to secure them properly yet. But that may be due because of my bike. Overall Im glad i purchased them. I would recommend these to anyone not wanting permanent saddlebags. Edit 3/19/11* Well, Ive had these for a year now but have only used them for a total of a week.
