At Vance & Hines, we know the future of the after-market exhaust business requires selling top-quality, high-performing products that have long-lasting value. Vance & Hines pioneered aftermarket full-coverage heat shields back when we entered the Harley business. Since then the market has come to expect that kind of high-value product.

All BIG SHOTS feature massive 2 1/2" diameter, full-length, full-coverage heat shields that make all BIG SHOTS virtually "blue-proof!" That means many years and many miles later, BIG SHOTS will look like new.

Includes all necessary mounting hardware for stock applications.

great pipes, they sound good at idle but even better on acceleration. They look different than in the picture here. go to vance & hines site to see what they look like for the bike you want them for.

Question & Answers:

What will I need for a computer control for fuel, when installing these pipes

I am contemplating installing the Big Shots, on my 2007 Suzuki C90 (VL1500/T) bike.   I have been told it is mandatory to also add a computer for the fuel injection, as these pipes change the factory settings.   If this is so, what do you recommend?   I will not be modifying my air breather or anything else, just adding pipes.    And, are these what you would reccomend to me for pipes?

Thank you in advance for your information.   Have a good day.      Harry    Danville Vermont

    Howdy there, Harry!

Any time you put on a less restrictive exhaust, you change the way the engine breathes and you will have to compensate by adjusting the fuel mixture. The reality is, most of these bikes are already set up way too lean from the factory for emissions reason so by making it leaner as a result of changing the exhaust, you will really hurt the performance if the bike is not remapped. In addition, a leaner mixture runs hotter and more heat is not something you want for your engine.
There are numerous fuel modules on the market, but I would seriously recommend the Cobra PowerPro Fi2000 tuner. While it is more money than a lot of other tuners on the market, it has a processor that updates data up to 80X a second and automatically adjusts the fuel mixture accordingly. While many other fuel tuners are cheaper, they will require time on a dyno to get the best results. When you factor in the cost of dyno time, the PowerPro unit is really a better deal – plug it in and ride; no dyno setup required! If you go to my CCC page, there are several videos, one of which shows the complete installation of this unit, which I run on my Road Star. Installation is a walk in the park.
While you mentioned that you are not planning to change your intake, I would at least recommend installing a K&N filter. They offer superior airflow. Spend the money and get one.
As far as your choice of exhaust systems, that is very subjective. Everyone is looking for something different. What I can tell you is that the shorter the pipes, the less torque you will have. Something else to consider is whether or not the baffles can be changed. If you install a system and want to change the way it sounds, that is something to keep in mind. Also, be sure to change the exhaust gaskets when changing pipes. They are “crush gaskets” and are good for one use only.
Good luck, feel free to message me with any further questions.
