(4 stars) reviewed on 06/26/09 byRich (rbeskosty) from Hudson, NH, for a 2006 Midnight - Vince & Hynes exhaust 1600/1700 Road Star wrote: Just a little louder than I really like, inspection rated the sound at 102DB. If I were to purchase another set of pipes, I would get the black ceramic pipes instead. I think the black ceramic would offset the chrome even better. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? (4 stars) reviewed on 02/10/03 byDennis Ries (rpm40dwr) from Sand Creek, MI, United States, for a 2001 1600/1700 Road Star wrote: The bike had "classics" on it when I bought it, nice pipes, but I wanted a different look. I kept the VH "Classics" head pipes, then ordered and installed VH "Long Shots" tail pipes. The pipes are now same diameter from engine to the tail of the bike, and I do mean the tail of the bike. Pipes end up staggered because of the head pipes, top pipe ends just past the rear fender, and the lower pipe ends just in front of the rear fender. I had to fabricate the bracket to hang the tail pipes, ( not that hard of a job), turned out real nice. Makes the bike look longer and lower, best of all, THEY SOUND REAL NICE!!!! If they hadn't been installed by the dealership I would go with Straight Shots. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
