(5 stars) reviewed on 11/23/06 byEddie (HaChayalBoded) from Brooklyn, NY, United States, for a 2000 Black 750 Shadow ACE Tourer wrote: Although not a fault of V&H buyers should note that Cobra floorboards will interfere with these pipes, they need to be either modified (cut) or the pipe needs to be modified (bashed with a sledgehammer). Also I believe it would interfere with a Rivco centerstand. Not a problem if you don't have those two items but most Tourer owners have Cobra floorboards. A simple solution is to use Honda Shadow Aero floorboards or possibly just the bracket. Review Details 2 out of 3 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

(4 stars) reviewed on 09/16/05 byEd Perrott (EPerrott) from Longwood, FL, United States, for a 1998 750 Shadow ACE Tourer wrote: V&H created these without compatability with other accessories in mind. Had to remove Cobra boards. Installed Honda Aero system (worked and looked great - but lots of bucks). Had to remove frame mounted MC footpegs setup that worked great with Honda system. Had to mount Rivco centerstand slightly off-center, but still works.. Had to dremel right side pieces (as have others) to get to fit. But look fabulous and great sound. (4 stars) reviewed on 01/19/05 byHapachick (Hapachick) from Honolulu, HI, United States, for a 2000 750 Shadow ACE Tourer wrote: Sounds Great! But was a big hassle to install. Removed Cobra Floorboards (incompatible with V&H pipes) so replaced old stock pegs. It would have been pretty easy to install pipes, if the pipes weren't faulty. Received defective pipes that would not fit! It was a hassle, but kept working with V&H Tech Assist. to get replacement parts. It took several months, but when it finally arrived, 30 minutes and a new gasket later, we were roaring down the road! Review Details 2 out of 2 members found this review helpful. Doesn't sound like a Honda anymore & have more power! Very hot, the stock pipes had alot of heat shields built in. Review Details 5 out of 5 members found this review helpful. (5 stars) reviewed on 01/02/03 byBELLVIDERE (BELLVIDERE) from RICHMOND, VA, United States, for a 2000 750 Shadow ACE Tourer wrote: Installation is a custom job when you have cobra floorboards. The pipes interfere with the right side floorboard bracket. A good customizer can modify the bracket to overcome the mounting problem. It was worth the little extra for the bracket re-work job. And thanks to cruiser customizing; I saved over $90.00 in parts, with the jet kit. Review Details 1 out of 1 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Vance and Hines has sent me two sets of pipes with the mounting bracket in the wrong place preventing installation. They claim they are the correct pipes. Dealer attempted to install them, unable and sent them back. What is the trick to this problem please...???? Do you have an answer for me? Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
