Sounded slightly brash when first installed. After a couple of hundred miles, sound absolutely fantastic. No more purring, but sounds like a V-Twin should, deep and throaty and can be heard when you want it to be. Installed Cobra jet kit and K&N filter at the same time. Haven't lost any mpg so can't see a downside for this install other than cost. By the way, they look great on the custom as well.

Sounds much better than stock. Not to load, but still barks when you hammer down.

Sounds really good. Super easy to install. If you know anything about tools you should be able to install these. I took my bike up to my local shop to have it rejeted. It was worth the money for the amount of work that takes.

I,ve already reviewed this item, however i wanted to post an update. Within a few months of installation and recarb, noticed a large "spot" on my rear heat shield. Appeared to be defective chrome. I contacted Cruiser Customizing and was instructed to return the part directly to V&H with my invoice. Problem was, misplaced my invoice. CC quickly e-mailed me a copy that I forwarded to V&H along with the heat shield. I received a telecom from V&H confirming that the chrome was defective and shortly afterward received a replacement part. Thanks to CC I was able to resolve this issue quickly with no hassle and brief "down time"

Great looks. Great sound. Took about 45 minutes to install. Gave 'em one spin to make sure everything was ok before tearing the bike apart to install a hypercharger/rejet.
