True finishing touch and part of my continuing search for the perfect sound from my V&H Longshots. V&H quiet baffles lowered the tone and took out the tinny sound. Velocity tips (directed out to the side) add one more degree of mellow without losing any of the bark when you crank the throttle. On my first ride with the new tips another Sabre owner commented on the great look and after listening to the sound preferred it to his Cobra Classics. During install the top tip slid in with ease, bottom one had to be 'tapped" in with a rubber mallet even after I coated it with spray lube. Not so sure it will rotate with ease (had to use padded channel-locks to align hole and bolt) if I want to change position or remove it to re-wrap the baffles. Guesss I'll find out soon enough. Meantime the tips add a great look to the Longshots.
