Sweet sound!!! I have only put on about 300 miles so far on these pipes, so far no blueing on the heat shields. I have noticed that underneath they have started to blue which is normal. However, the blueing underneath does reflect off the chromed drive cover so it makes the the cover seem like it is discoloring, although it is just when the sun reflects off of it. The tone is perfect- not screaming loud but a nice, rich, and deep sound that is music to the ears. The lines of the pipes accentuate the natural lines of the bike and make them look as if they were designed by Yamaha. They are lighter and much more attractive than the stock pipes. I also love how they shape to the big V-Twin motor as well! I had them put on and Dyno Jetted by a motorcycle mechanic.

Pipes has been on for over a month and I have gotten much love from other riders about how awesome they sound and look. I really love the rumble it makes. Really enjoy hitting the throttle when seeing other people heads turn. Could not have gotten a better set of pipes. Worth every PENNY.

Love the perfomance more than the sound. It is a louder than I thought it was going to be. It is a great sound and I love the volume on the freeway. I know how I feel when a loud bike disturbs my peace while I am at home. I wish there was a switch for freeway volume and nieghborhood levels. I will be looking into baffling it just a bit more. Since my bike is under warranty I purchased them from the dealer and had them do the install and do the re-jetting. They look great and they are much lighter than the stock pipes. Thanks to custom cruisings price, I was able to get the price down from what the dealer was asking.

Had V&H Longshots till now. Powershots look better. Sound deeper. Haven't been on the road long enough with them to notice a difference in performance in the Roadstar.

Very cool looking- definitely attention getters, great tone, can be somewhat peaceful while cruising- until you punch the throttle, nice and throaty-loud with lots of power. Awesome pipes!

great pipes love the sound loud when you really get on it but not annoying when crusing on long rides. I had HK pipes on my V Star and I think the quality is much better than the Vance & Hines I don't like how the heat sheilds are put on with hose clamps HK are welded on. and you cannot remove the baffles without taking the whole rear heat shield off

Look great on bike. LOUD without baffles. Not to hard to install, took a couple of hours. Gives the bike more power, without even jetting yet. That will be next weekend. Oh yeah, LOUD!!!

I like the look of these pipes over the Hard Krome 3" Staggered Equalizers which I had previously. I find that the Powershots are much quieter than the HK's. However, the Powershots have a rumble sound to them, while the HK's did not. I opted to switch from the HK Equalizers to the Powershots because the HK pipes were so big that it affected my cornering clearance.

I have my powershot pipes for about 4 weeks. I had them installed by a local dealer along with thunder mfg. S&S intake. So far everything has been good, no blueing yet. Pipes look good but would have prefered that the black half of the heat shield be 2 piece instead of one. As far the sound, these pipes are extremely loud... don't buy them unless you want to bother the neighbors. I tried wrapping the baffles in muffler wrap, it helped a little. It also helped the sound of the pipes. Updating review after 3,000 miles these pipes are great. I love the sound and the performance is outstanding. No problems whatso ever.

Great look and even better sound. Noticable power increase combined with Barons Big Air Kit. Should not be a problem with any saddle bags as clearance on top and bottom is increased. Head pipes match angle of cylinders which is a nice touch to some competitors.
