(1 stars) reviewed on 05/31/10 byVance Cotier (vrcotier) from Mount Holly, NJ, United States, for a 2006 S3 Orange/Black 1800 VTX1800R (Retro) wrote: These baffles look the same as the ones I pulled out of the pipes. I ordered the pipes new here and the quiet baffles 6 months later. There may have been a difference in the wrapping but not the metal baffles themselves. Did my Big Shots come with the quiet baffles in them for some reason? The ones I removed were capped, had wrap, they were the same. I'm confused. After all that work did I change anything? (2 stars) reviewed on 05/14/09 byDennis Biggerstaff (dab140) from Columbus, OH, United States, for a 2003 Titanium ,V&H Bigshots, power commander, 1800 VTX1800R (Retro) wrote: I have the Big Shots on my 2003 VTX 1800 and thought these baffels would slightly dull the sound and maybe be a little throatier when you open up the throttle according to the ads and some reviews. After a couple of hours of taking off the heat sheilds and spraying down the original baffles and screws with PB Blaster I finally got out the old ones only to find out they were exactly the same as the new ones. I installed the new ones anyway hoping the sound at least might be a little different, but to no avail.....the new baffles sounded just like the old original ones.....a lot of work for nothing...I am very disappointed and out $52.00 as well! Otherwise, product works fine. Review Details 4 out of 4 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

I dont like overbearing pipes....just pipes that sound good. This makes the bike sound great to me. Review Details 3 out of 3 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? (3 stars) reviewed on 12/16/04 bySam (Pappy58) from St. Cloud, FL, United States, for a 2004 Black Cherry 1800 VTX1800R (Retro) wrote: This may sound stupid but I thought this baffle was different from the one that comes with the V&H Bigshots. After going through a rather painstaking process of removing heat shields to get to the baffle screw and pulling existing baffle out, I noticed that I already had the "quiet" baffle. This is the very same baffle that comes with the Bigshots. So if you have the Bigshots and want a different sound, this will not do it. However my new Thunder air box has improved the sound of the pipes on acceleration. Review Details 9 out of 9 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
