(4 stars) reviewed on 06/17/10 bySandman (AOSandman) from , CT, for a 1998 Black & Silver 1100 Shadow Aero wrote: I recently added these to my V&H Long Shots and they fit perfectly, no modifications needed at all. And don't let the name fool you, they will not make the bike "quiet" by any means. At idle & lower RPMs it is just a bit softer/quieter, but not much. Just enough to take the edge off, but all the attitude is still there. I like the sound much better than the stock baffles. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

My wife doesn't mind the volume these put out. Once you install them it's near impossible to remove them. I wanted to see what they sounded like without stealth baffles and could not remove them. They bring the noise down a bit, but at the same time add adeeper and better rumbling sound to the exhaust. I've had mine a year and they are still going strong. I have found the Sampson ones sound a bit tin. The sound coming out of these is dipper I love it. I ahd to make a couple of modifications to enable me to fit this to the front exhaust. (4 stars) reviewed on 03/11/09 byWillard Wood (GeneStreak) from Monroe, LA, United States, for a Silver,2003 1500 Vulcan Mean Streak wrote: I installed these on my Muzzy exaust system. It quieten the noise some, but the real value was in the increase of "Lower-RPM-Power". How much, I can tell you this, I can now lug the engine down to 1000 rpm in 5th gear and pull right out of it. Also if an "boom handle's" your exaust, he will find a baffel. Review Details 1 out of 1 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

I liked "thumper" better before these baffles but my neighbors didn't. I'm also not spending as much on Tylenol after long rides. They're actually a good compromise.
