I bought this recently and it did not really fit my VSTAR950. I managed to use bits and pieces from the pack and made it fit. If you are not a handy type of person, don't buy it.

Useless if you live in Texas like I do. Can't handle even the smallest of hills and even loses speed in a little of wind. Save your money and wait to buy the more expensive one.

I have Kuryakyn custom grips on my 2005 Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 Classic. You can NOT install this cruise control if you have aftermarket grips like I do. The switch box straddles the throttle tube and you can't move the grips away from the switch box in order to install the unit. Worse still, I've written to Cruiser Customizing's "Live Chat" a number of times to see if ther was a "fix" for this and they have NEVER replied. VERY disappointing.

Once again, you get what you pay for. Does not hold the throttle securely. If you tighten it up so it does hold the throttle tight then it interferes with the throttle. Spend the extra money and get the breakaway throttle lock.

It will NOT fit on a '04 VTX 1300c. If you own a VTX check the wiring that leads into the switch assembly. The bracket must be able to fit FLUSH against the left side of the switch assembly, but my wiring enters the switch assembly far too close to the handlebar for me to mount the Cruise Control bracket. You need a good 1/4 inch space between the wiring and your handlebar. Directions for installation are a bit obscure . . . I have seen it installed on a '08 M50 and a '07 Vstar 1100c.

Thirty-five bucks for about five dollars worth of parts. Installation not too difficult but I had trouble with clearance issues and the rubber "filler" had to be trimmed to fit. Tightening the setscrews caused warpage of the ring. The end result looks bad. As for actual use, it hinders the return of the throttle even when off. When on, does not hold too well unless one tightens the nut until the spring is almost completely compressed. This should have cost $19.99.

I have the same model, came with my bike, I find it very distracting to have to force the engauger down with my thumb, while trying to control the throttle and of course the bike itself, trust me, at 110 km an hour you dont want to be fumbling around with this thing, buy the more expensive, better looking, Zero fumbling around cruise control, could save your life.

Could not use it. Read the instruction on the back of the package and it indicated that the bar to hold it in pplace should cross over the switch housing, between the kill and start switches. On my C90 I have a hazzard light switch located just there. After further looking, decied not to even open the package to try alternate places since the thumb lever to activate and deactivate would be in an akward position

Not one I'd purchase again, nor do I recommend it. The concept is good, but this manufacturer has little quality control. The throttle surround does NOT fit a Honda VTX (however the package says it does. In addition, the kit and instructions are pretty bad, but the funniest and most frustrating part is that the allen wrenches that come with the kit do NOT fit the allen screws that come with the kit. It's been awhile since I've run into a product that's this weak.

One of two things will happen.... You will get it adjusted so your throttle will stay locked and your throttle will not snap back properly OR Your throttle will move freely and it will not lock your throttle at all. Oh yeah, looks like hell, and is a pain in the ass to install.

Haven't installed this item yet, I'm painting the main parts to match the brake fluid reservoir, chrome would be better, maybe they'll come out with a better looking one in the future. As long as it works, it's fine. We'll see. Guess what ! I tried to put this thing on and as it turns out, the electric cables from the starter and kill switch are in the way. Any body have any suggestions. What a waste of money, BLAAAAAHHHHH!!!

Thought I was buying the one that mounts beween the grips, instead of the over grip. I have Iso grips and it looks like crap and needs a mod to install. My feeling is that if you have aftermarket grips, run from this product!
