It's a throttle lock, so unless the ground is very even where you are riding, I wouldn't call it cruise control. I don't use this for long stretches of time, but for the occasional taking the hand off the throttle to get some blood flow in the right arm and hand, it's great. Ordered one for my VTX, same problem. This time on the package it actually says to contact the company if you want to install with Kuryakan grips for a special filler strip. Attempted to contact by e-mail and phone with no success. Since Kuryakan is the most popular after market grip you would think that this would be addressed or at least CC would make note of it in it's product description.
