(4 stars) reviewed on 04/08/04 byBill Cosgrove (msgcoz) from Bardstown, KY, United States, for a 2003 1100 Shadow Spirit wrote: Great little saddlebags. They looked terrible until I purchased and installed Scotts turn signal relocation bracket, after which they looked great. Would recommend using zip ties instead of the "shoe" laces they come with to secure them to the bike. Also, you will need to get the saddlebag supports (I got the ones from Cobra) so the bags hang vertically straight. If you don't, the bottom of the bags tend to lean in toward the tire. (3 stars) reviewed on 07/21/03 byQuail (Quail) from N. Dighton, MA, United States, for a 1100 Shadow Spirit wrote: Decent little bags for the money. Can hold quite a bit. They get a little crushed by the turn signals, making them look a little sloppy, so I intend to relocate them. This is a common problem with the Spirit 1100. I've already made some billet aluminum turn signal relocation brackets which will move the lights back 3 inches. After I install them I'm going to cut off the yoke, make some forms for inside the bags to square them up and give them better support, and bolt them right to the fender. I think that this will make them look better and maybe hold a little bit more. I'll let you know how I make out. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
