Much less expensive than many bags I saw, but a good value because they're a decent size and seem well made. I'm even glad they're not leather because I think synthetic material will hold up to the weather better. Installation involved merely removing the passenger seat (very easy on my V-Star), tying the bags together, and reinstalling the seat. I also installed support brackets to keep the bags off the rear wheel (this is required). I got aftermarket brackets from a dealer because the Yamaha ones are way overpriced.

When you install bags make sure you have plenty of clearance between the bags and pipes. I burned through my first set from overloading them and too close to pipes.
