Stock photo, a personal picture coming soon...

Started riding in 2003. I had to convince the spousal unit by passing the MSF course and finding a bike under $1000 (she also threw in the condition that I must always wear a helmet… small price to pay). So my first bike was a 1983 Suzuki GS650GL, a great bike! The 650 allowed me to practice my riding and my wrenching skills. After a couple of rides with the wife, she too took the MSF course and quickly warmed up to the idea of a larger touring bike. After looking around and taking several test rides I found the Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad. What a perfect bike with the right mix of power, handling and style!!! I looked at two Nomads; the first was beat up and kept out side (what a shame), but the second belonged to a guy who knew how to take care of a machine. He had service records, papers and the bike was SPOTLESS! So after a quick trip to the bank, my wife and I had our new addition to the family, our '99 nomad.
