I made the seat knob, and the key thing with skulls I got from jcwhitney. The skulls from jc were 30.00 for 20 of them, the skulls from jc come with bolts on them, and I used one for a seat bolt, and the other I ground out the bolt, and epoxyed my bike key into it. that made the skulls cost me a 1.50 each, but the ones here look a bit better then mine.

I saw some of the reviews here on the knobs from X-Cessories. Unless they didn't get the little slip insert telling them what type bolt to get to insert for the seat bolt (an 6mm for VTX's, 8mm Volusia's, 1/4-20 Harleys etc), the instructions I had said to get them in setscrew form or get a bolt and cut the head off it and insert the cut end into the head of the knob Then tighten down the setscrew in the knobs head to lock in the bolt. Use the allen wrench also as a lever to tighten the knob down in place more after you cannot tighten it by hand. No need for gluing the bolt in. The Only time JB Weld is suggested is when you visit X-Cessories site to download their keyknob instructions. It was all very simple and easy. If the bolt is to long, buy a shorter one or buy a long one and cut it with bolt cutters. 9 cents for my bolt. By loosening the set screw the bolt can be removed from the knobs head if you find is was too long. After reading what a few did here I think som...

Have the red chrome seat knob. Had to shorten the bolt. Really hard steel, so was hard to get it cut. Very nice looking!

I used this as a replacement for my choke/idle knob. Looks great sitting between the heads. That black plastic had to go. I also got one for the rear seat hole.
