(5 stars) reviewed on 05/31/03 byHal (MWtravlr) from Carmel, IN, United States, for a 2002 Illusion Blue (aka Purple Rocketship) 1800 VTX1800C wrote: Mine is actually the "battery tender", which permanently installs to the battery and uses quick connectors that include weather resistant plugs. Installation wasn't hard, requiring removal of the seat (which you'd have to do to use clips anyway) and the wiring lends itself to a very compact, neat installation. Trust me, with the tight spaces around the battery, you need this ability! Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

(5 stars) reviewed on 04/01/03 byfrom Pueblo, CO, United States, for a 1800 wrote: I have used this charger on all three of the bikes I've owned the past three + years. It works as advertised! My unit came with the standard two prong plug, and I wired a permanent charge wire to my battery and routed it out to the left floorboard area for quick connect/disconnect. It works great as a trickle charger in cold weather and allows me to run my plethera of accessories in my garage without fear of the battery running down. (5 stars) reviewed on 03/10/03 byKen Levine (klevine) from Willow Springs, MO, United States, for a 2003 VS-1400 Blue & Silver 650 V-Star Classic wrote: This is one grea8 item. I live in Wyoming, winters are cold and harsh and brutal on motorcycle batteries. This charger will help to keep you from buying a new battery every year if you live a cold weather area. Charger keeps battery at float once it is charged and keeps it there as needed. L.E.D. lights show you when the power is on, then it tells you by L.E.D. light that it is testing battery, then that it is charging and lastly that it is in float mode. Quality charger! Also comes with alligator clips and permanent leads you can put on battery terminals so that you can hook up charger anytime WITHOUT removing battery from bike!
