OK..... so I thought this was a "cheapy" helmet. Well, for the comfort level and ease of fit, not really! I have three helmets now, the Z1R and two "full face" with all kinds of vents and shields. For my "slow roll" on the Boulevard, this is the most comfortable. And to my surprise, the helmet has ear cushions that baffle the wind noise and snug your head fit. It also helps keep the IPOD earplug in place when listening to "oldies but goodies" stations. I must say, I'm quite pleased with its design and would recommend it to the "Crui-see" (my own made up word) that prefers an "open view" of the road ahead.

If you are on the larger end of a size rating... go bigger. Otherwise this is an OK helmet for the bucks. The neck collar didn't cut the noise level like I was expecting and the interior crown padding was loose and had to be "arranged." However, the neck collar does effectively keep the helmet from riding up at reasonable speeds. A big improvement over my last helmet, which was a kite. I like the long chin strap which doubles back and snaps above the D-rings. Mine came with a smoke translucent shorty visor... which I am still getting used to. I'm used to opaque. It snuggles up warmly with a Schampa face gaiter for those cooler mornings. All in all... a pretty good helmet for the money. I feel more a bit more "buttoned down" for fall riding. P.S. 10.12.08 Just wanted to drop back in and tell you that for the money this a great helmet. Just took my first overnight ride out to the Texas hill country with this one and have to give it the "thumbs up!" If you're like me and like a...

Nice little helmet. I bought the white one to increase visibility. Someone told me it looks like an off-duty bike-cop, so maybe the cagers will afford more respect when they see it on the road. Very lightweight and breeze goes right through, so ventilation is not a concern here. Only drawback is that lining is not removable for washing & cleaning.

I don't have this helmet exactly, the one I have is a Outlaw-Helmets/DOT-Ladies-Silver-Rose-Lady-Rider-Half-Helmet. Really nice. I plan to buy a shield to help with the wind. Earplugs are a must with the half helmet to protect the drums.
